Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team in the South Houston, Texas area. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the company while ensuring seamless billing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing and invoicing, with experience in manufacturing as a plus. Responsibilities: • Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner. • Monitor billing cycles to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. • Collaborate with inside sales representatives and the accounting team to resolve billing discrepancies. • Maintain detailed records of billing transactions for reporting and analysis purposes. • Utilize computerized billing systems such as Epicor and Sage Accounting Software to manage financial tasks efficiently. • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to billing and payment issues. • Ensure proper collection and posting of payments to maintain accurate accounts. • Generate and distribute billing statements to customers as part of routine operations. • Identify areas for improvement in billing processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or related financial roles. • Proficiency in computerized billing systems, including Epicor and Sage Accounting Software. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. • Familiarity with billing functions and collection processes. • Knowledge of manufacturing industry practices is a plus. • Strong problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies effectively.
