Description Our client in East Hartford, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy to contribute to a well-established organization. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner. + Verify and reconcile billing data to ensure consistency and eliminate discrepancies. + Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and resolve inquiries effectively. + Maintain up-to-date records of transactions and ensure compliance with company policies. + Collaborate with other departments, such as accounts receivable and customer service, to address billing-related concerns. + Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with collections as needed. + Generate regular billing reports for management review. + Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial and customer information. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in accounting or relevant field preferred. + Proven experience as a billing clerk or in a similar role. + Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. + Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data accurately. + Excellent communication skills for client and internal interactions. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing billing issues.
