Primary Responsibilities As a Medical Biller, you will ensure the seamless processing of medical claims and reimbursements, playing a key role in our revenue cycle. Your responsibilities will include: + Preparing, reviewing, and submitting insurance claims through electronic or manual methods while adhering to established billing protocols. + Analyzing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and correcting claim errors or denials to expedite reimbursement. + Monitoring and following up on unpaid claims to ensure timely resolution and payment. + Verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order. + Reconciling accounts receivable balances and generating monthly billing reports for management. + Staying current on changes to medical coding, billing regulations, and insurance policies. Requirements + 2+ years of experience in medical billing within a healthcare or medical office environment. + Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or NextGen. + Strong knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) and claims submission processes. + Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or similar certification is a plus. + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and billing software. + Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational abilities.
