Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Assistant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This is a fantastic long-term contract opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices while adhering to company policies and procedures. • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and assist with collection efforts. • Maintain thorough and organized financial records, ensuring all billing transactions are properly documented. • Work closely with the finance team to reconcile billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries promptly. • Generate and present regular reports on billing activities and account statuses for management review. • Support daily administrative tasks and contribute to special projects as needed. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards throughout all billing operations. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in billing, accounts payable, or accounts receivable. • Strong understanding of billing processes and financial principles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with billing software. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members. • Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently and effectively. • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an AA degree is preferred. • Experience with legal or specialized billing platforms Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
