Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by ensuring accurate billing, processing of invoices, and maintaining electronic records. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel at managing multiple tasks while maintaining precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Prepare and process billing documentation in a timely and accurate manner. • Handle both internal and external requests for financial documents and information. • Review, analyze, and revise invoices to ensure accuracy. • Organize and scan daily shipping documents into an electronic filing system. • Match invoices with corresponding shipping documents to maintain consistency. • Perform special projects or additional duties as assigned by the Accounts Receivable Supervisor. • Assist with debit and credit processing as part of accounts receivable functions. • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries. Requirements • Proven ability to sort and organize files numerically with precision. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, including Excel and Word. • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and arithmetic operations. • Experience with computerized billing systems and accounts receivable processes. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
