Bilingual Youth Care Worker (Spanish/English)
The shelter program, located in Bethlehem, is a residential program for children and adolescents. The Bilingual Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing direct supervision, support and direction to children and adolescents in a compassionate and respectful manner. This includes providing an unwavering commitment to the safety of kids and being aware of all ongoing developments and concerns on a daily basis. Requirements: + Must be 21 years of age or older. + High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or related field preferred. + Minimum of 1 year paid professional experience working with children that can be verified. + Valid driver's license required. + Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills. + Ability to converse, read and write in English and Spanish. Pay Rate: $17.60-$20.50 Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities, 3PM-11PM weekends required Training: Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm for 2 and a half weeks. This is a paid training. The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance, which are processed by KidsPeace. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored training sessions. EOE
