Why this role is important?
The Senior Manager, Reimbursement will be a subject matter expert in insurance and drug coverage related intelligence, as well as be a key point of contact for case escalations. The Senior Manager will also be required to develop strategies to support customers relating to reimbursement issues.
The nature of this role requires using excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills. The incumbent is expected to act in a diplomatic and professional manner while working with short lead times and changing customer demands.
As this position deals with highly sensitive information, the incumbent is expected to maintain patient confidentiality per Specialty Health Network policy and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
Activities include, but are not limited to:
Provide expertise to the Business Development team in communicating and positioning reimbursement products, PSP design and value-based opportunities.Lead the development and delivery of reimbursement strategies, including pre-launch planning and post launch program strategies.Market access SME for the organization. Identify and encourage new innovative solutions and strategic initiatives for reimbursement.Drive market access updates and communicate applicable reimbursement strategies within our programsDrive development and maintenance of internal resources such as the repository for reimbursement knowledge, appeals toolkit, Training resources.Lead development of Reimbursement Guides, Landscapes and Payor Guides for PSPs to ensure consistent and effective communication regarding reimbursement policies and strategies.Advise on financial assistance and payer submission best practices and processes which also drive value and conversion.Lead and engage in collaborative relationships with internal teams – Program Management, Program Operations, Pharmacy, L&D, Strategy and systems.As a part of the Operational Enablement team, ensuring that all reimbursement projects are monitored for best-in-class performance and success.Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 7 years previous Reimbursement/Drug Coverage/Insurance experience or equivalent demonstrated experience (e.g., Specialty Pharmaceuticals)5+ years experience leading teamsUniversity degree or College diploma in a related field preferredDeep expertise in Canadian public and private payer environmentSolid understanding of financial assistance programs;Familiarity with CRM systems such as SalesforceAbility to manage complex projects independentlyA team player with demonstrated ability to provide superior customer careExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong computer skills in a Windows environment using MS OfficeBilingualism (French & English) requiredAbility to attend Reimbursement conferences in-person on behalf of SDM SHN to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
