Based out of Advocates' Family Continuity Peabody Clinic, the Bilingual School Based Clinician will provide trauma informed outpatient counseling to children and adolescents ranging in age from 3 to 21 years old in the school. Clinicians will conduct evidence based treatment both individually and in collaboration with the school system.  Clinicians will be expected to collaborate with systems related to the child/adolescent including but not limited to schools, pediatricians, and outside providers. Advocates is looking for individuals with a team mentality and willingness to learn.

Minimum Education Required Master's Degree Responsibilities Promote a balanced, healthy, safe and open environment for clients.Provide school and home based, evaluations, family and individual outpatient counseling to children/adolescents in the school settingFollow all trauma informed practicesAdvocate for clients’ needs within the program as well as with external agencies.Maintain up-to-date client records including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries and progress notes.Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetingsEnsure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy. Qualifications

 

Master’s Degree in related field and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting.Bilingual in English and Spanish or PortugueseDegree Must be eligible for LMHC or LICSWAbility to work with children and families in the community Excellent verbal and written communication skill, including documentation abilities.Intuitive, client-centered, supportive approach.Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support. Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
