**Ukiah Waste Solutions, Inc.** a Waste Connections Company, is currently hiring for a **Bilingual Outreach Coordinator** . The Outreach Coordinator supports the community through waste reduction education and outreach programs including: business and food waste, construction and demolition, single and multi-family residence outreach, schools, and community events. Additionally, they are responsible for regulatory reporting requirements. **Schedule is Monday - Friday with occasional weekends. Starting pay is $24 per hour.** The pay range for this job category is $24 - $26 per hour. **Job Description:** The Outreach Coordinator will focus on some of the large projects mentioned above, as well as day-to-day tasks such as answering questions regarding the best practices of recycling, providing detailed reports to various entities, social media management, building graphic design projects, giving classroom presentations to elementary through college education levels, leading and coordinating Recycling site tours, and other work as assigned. This position will operate independently and in the field for many of the outreach activities. **Qualifications:** + Demonstrated knowledge and passion for working with local recycling and waste reduction resources. + Intermediate skills in word processing and graphics software including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva. + Ability to conduct complex interpersonal interactions with others, trouble-shoot, solve problems, make decisions, operate independently and with discretion, and work effectively under pressure and with self-motivation. + Must have efficient and organized work habits, and be flexible to handle needs as they arise. + The successful individual for this role will be able to change direction quickly, work on multiple deadlines simultaneously and prioritize amongst many different projects, both on a daily basis and projects with long term completion goals. + Demonstrated experience working through projects with little supervision from start to finish. + Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual Outreach obligations are met + Provide comprehensive reports to various entities + Attend outreach events that occur on weekends when necessary + Experience giving presentations to large and small groups + Experience with event planning and implementation preferred + Experience with graphic design preferred + Willing to travel + Bilingual We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term disability, life insurance, and 401K retirement. **Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
