Job Description
We are seeking a bilingual financial analyst fluent in both Japanese and English to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in analyzing investments, assessing financial health, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze investment opportunities and assess financial health through key financial statements.Build and maintain strong relationships with finance, accounting, and legal teams.Support management decision-making by providing strategic insights.Liaise between our client and departments in the Japanese parent company.Review investment proposals and guide subsidiaries in setting up control processes and policies.Advise business divisions on approval workflows and documentation.Assist with deal execution, including due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation.Essential SkillsProficiency in financial analysis, accounting, and finance.Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation.Experience in variance analysis and Microsoft Excel.Expertise in month-end closing, data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsFluency in Japanese and English.6+ years of relevant accounting experience.Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.Experience with financial modeling.Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative.Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.Capability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Willingness to travel occasionally.Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.Big 4 experience is a plus but not required.Preference for candidates working toward or having passed CMA or CFA exams.Work Environment
