Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Key Responsibilities + Bilingual Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for English and Spanish-speaking community members, addressing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions. + Customer Relations: Provide empathetic, professional, and solutions-oriented support to clients, donors, and partners. + Information Dissemination: Communicate program details, event updates, and organizational services accurately and fluently in both English and Spanish. + Documentation: Record customer interactions and maintain accurate records in the CRM system while ensuring bilingual correspondence is appropriately logged. + Problem-Solving: Help resolve customer issues effectively by connecting them with the appropriate internal departments or external resources. + Community Engagement: Build trust and maintain positive relationships with underserved populations, ensuring all feel valued and understood. + Administrative Tasks: Assist in preparing bilingual documents, flyers, and outreach materials for organizational initiatives. Requirements + Language Skills: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal communication). + Experience: 1–2 years of customer service or call center experience; nonprofit experience is highly desirable. + Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills to connect effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. + Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce) or customer service systems is preferred. + Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to think critically, remain calm under pressure, and provide thoughtful resolutions. + Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. + Mission Alignment: A passion for helping underserved communities and supporting the mission of a nonprofit organization.
