The opportunity

Join our closeknit NZ Water business in this newly created opportunity of Bid Writer. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Water NZ you will be responsible for developing winning proposals from the planning phase of an opportunity through to the preparation and negotiation phases to handover. 

This is a full-time permanent position based in our Christchurch office with the opportunity for WFH/flexible working arrangements. 

What you’ll do

Prepare tenders, bids, experiences of interest and market sounding responses in accordance with company procedures and levels of authorities.Work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain the internal CRM database manager market intel.Conduct site inspections to identify elements and issues prior to estimating works.

What we’re looking for

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Water Utilities sector.Experience writing complex Design & Construction and Construct only bids.Experience working with or within a Water utilities asset owner business.Substantial experience in engineering principles and construction methodologies.Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
