In Ditzingen, you will find security solutions for border surveillance and control, for the protection of civil and military facilities, as well as for tactical communication. This is the right place for you if you want to work with us on battle-proven, highly mobile radars for ground and coastal surveillance, or on night vision goggles and multifunctional thermal imaging devices. Become part of the Thales expert team for radars, optronic vision systems for armored military vehicles, or for securing Bundeswehr field camps. We look forward to welcoming you!

Your mission as Bid Manager for radar and optronic systems and military equipment:

Prepare bids for German and international customers in line with Thales Chorus processes – including standard equipment, integrated sensor systems, and related services.

Ensure compliance with internal procedures by preparing approval documents and coordinating with multi-country Thales units.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as R&D, Quality, Contract and Configuration Management, and Manufacturing.

Take ownership of timely, consistent, and high-quality bid preparation to ensure customer satisfaction.

What we look forward to:

A university degree (at least Bachelor) in a business or technical field, or a comparable qualification; knowledge of Thales internal processes is an advantage.

Fluency in German and English is required; French and other languages as well as a bid management certification (APMP or similar) are a plus.

Strong technical affinity and willingness to learn, combined with solid skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel).

Team-oriented and convincing appearance with colleagues and customers, structured and committed working style, and readiness for self-development.

Flexibility and willingness to take on related tasks beyond the core role, including national and international business trips, working with military customers, and performing reliably under pressure with initiative and responsibility.

Thales invests more than €4 billion annually in research and development of key technologies such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum, and cloud technologies.

In 2024, the Group generated revenues of €20.6 billion. With more than 83,000 employees in 68 countries, we open up future-oriented perspectives, enable individual career paths, and foster creative freedom.
