If so, let's start the conversation. **About the Role:** The Bid Manager supports our global sales teams by managing responses to complex RFx (Tenders, Bids, Information and Proposals) documents. This role has primary responsibility for producing high-quality, client-centric and deadline-driven proposals for various industry verticals within India, with a particular emphasis on the public sector. You lead the end-to-end bid development process, from pre-release of tenders through submission. You are expected to coach teams on proposal best practices and build a customer-focused win strategy for each submission. Key responsibilities include assisting in qualification, providing existing and new content, editing documents for consistency and submitting compliant professional proposals. The Bid Manager remains involved with the opportunity after submission to assist with presentation development, best and final offers, debrief sessions and lessons learned discussions. This role requires a deep understanding of the bid process, including analysis of customer issues and requirements and the ability to translate a solution into a compelling value-added message. Your experience includes the ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across business lines and a track record of delivering successful outcomes for customers. In this role, you develop bids that focus on resolving customer issues and driving positive change while ensuring that documents are consistent with Iron Mountain’s messaging, positioning and brand. The Bid Manager reports to the Manager, APAC Bid Management and is an integral part of the Commercial Excellence team. This role will be primarily a home working role but must be based in or near Mumbai as in-office meetings will be required occasionally. **Key Accountabilities** + Manage the complete lifecycle of multiple, concurrent bids in line with defined processes and best practices, ensuring documents are customer-focused and articulate value. Provide direction and support to the sales lead throughout the bid process. + Lead each assigned tender, including setting and maintaining bid schedules, assigning tasks and ownership and supporting all deliverables. Write and edit bid sections for continuity, logic, organisation, message and compliance to emphasise Iron Mountain differentiators. + Analyse customer needs and business drivers to translate solution strategies into key win themes, and produce compelling documents focused on our differentiation and value. Work with the sales lead to ensure the bid strategy aligns with the sales strategy. + Communicate with designated subject matter experts to understand complex solutions, develop and write non-standard responses to bid questions. Maintain professional working relationships with SMEs in function groups such as HR, Marketing, Legal, IT, Finance, Security and Operations. + Understand the intelligent use of graphics to improve comprehension and convey core messages. + Perform win-loss debriefs and analysis. + Create and help maintain bid content and other internal/external resources that can be used by the entire team. + Complete bid process by attaching final documents to the related opportunity in Salesforce.com and upload all native files to a shared drive. Track submitted bid to final win/loss determination. **Additional Responsibilities** + Assist sales with creation of questions and strategy for customers prior to release of a formal tender. + Provide presentation support to sales teams, including messaging, slide creation and development of other presentation materials. + Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all Iron Mountain products and services and their corresponding value proposition. **Knowledge, Skills and Experience** + Minimum 5 to 6+ of experience following a defined bid process for organisations, including commercial and public sector accounts + University degree in Journalism, Business or Management preferred + Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams that encompass subject matter experts from various corporate areas; writing and editing bid answers and summaries that highlight differentiation and alignment with customer needs; and managing the bid process from pre-tender stage through delivery + Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills + Ability to effectively manage multiple, simultaneous projects + Fluency in both English written and verbal communication is a must, and a regional second language fluency preferred + Proficiency with use of MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat and similar technology, and experience with content management systems preferred + Familiarity with service-based and/or technology solution selling + Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail required Category: Sales Operations Group Iron Mountain is a global leader in storage and information management services trusted by more than 225,000 organizations in 60 countries.
