Why this role?
The bid manager will manage major project business and modernization in KSEA, support the sales team in bid management according to MP processes, and ensure winning strategies are in place. This role is ensuring the sales team has a plan for early engagement with customers and key stance-makers. The bid manager will track the win plan and ensure the sales team is following the strategy. The bid manager will support the sales team in achieving target margins by directing the project strategy and ensuring a good tender package.
What will you be doing?
Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
Accountable for managing preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
Do risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
Accountable for managing and for contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary).
Manage the MP bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for the opportunity(-ies).
Manage the bid budget.
Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids.
Responsible for understanding and resolving complex technical, strategic and business issue.
Arrange all pre and post bid reviews with internal stakeholders.
Accountable for communicating with all people within KONE involved in bid process.
Are you the one?
Understands sales, customer relationship management, marketing, channel management, experience in leading people effectively. Having extensive sales experience.
Experience in proposal management is crucial, as the bid manager will spearhead the bidding process and ensure effective proposal development.
Demonstrates awareness of competitors and their actions and objectives
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in elevator business or other relevant business
Ability to collaborate with global teams, including the Southeast Asia management team and country teams, to manage the bidding process effectively.
Willing to travel across the KSEA countries will be required (25% of the time).
