**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Proposal Management I works with the Sales team to create and coordinate the development and production of compelling customer proposals. The Proposal Management II plans and schedules proposal response efforts for small, medium and large engagement of medium complexity.
The Proposal Management I participates as a member of the sales/solution team ensuring that a pursuit plan, win theme and solutions are developed, and that a complete offer is submitted on time and in compliance with both CompuCom and customer requirements.
+ Participates in Pre-Sales activities including: customer research, deal qualification preparation, collaboration with Business Units and interviews with the sales organization.
+ Develops a thorough understanding of the company's portfolio of offerings and the organization structure supporting the development, solutioning and transaction process around those offerings.
+ Stays informed of newly developed internal services and offerings and consults with prospective internal customers.
+ Supports other Team initiatives and projects in the area of tooling, proposal automation, sales messaging consumption or collateral development.
+ Deconstructs bid documents for assigned opportunities to segment requirements, data points and underlying business challenges in support of solution development and win-theme planning.
+ Develops pursuit strategy with the Sales/Solution team. Determines timeline, resources and schedule required for producing a final proposal, which includes managing or leading team members and/or subcontractors.
+ Leads bid process, displays leadership qualities in forming and managing diverse groups of individuals to meet a common goal often in challenging timescales and support the facilitation of discussions to tangible, documented outcomes.
+ Works with the Sales/Solution team to identify win themes, and position the proposal for competitiveness and compliance.
+ Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the solution opportunity data in CompuCom systems.
+ Determines appropriate win theme strategies and articulates this to Sales Executives and Solution Directors.
+ Facilitates the creation of Client Orals Presentation materials for assigned deals and participates in Orals to present the CompuCom solution.
+ Develops content and/or underlying needs for new service offerings, and updates existing content as offerings mature/evolve.
+ Maintains communications including regular meetings with leadership stakeholders regarding plans, decisions, changes, and other relevant information.
+ Organizes and leads teams to meet mission objectives, communications and manages actions through to completion.We need from you:Level of Formal Education: Level of Formal Education: Area of Study: Computer Science, IT, Media, Business Studies, Marketing Years of Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field Type of Experience:
+ Experience of various bidding processes, Solicited, Unsolicited, automated/auctions etc. and the impact to content style/type/approach
+ Demonstrates knowledge management skills to contribute to content structure, consumption approaches and taxonomy
+ Experience of various industry applications for content management, quoting and bidding
+ Background in ITIL, Service Management, IT Management, IT Outsourcing, Service Design
+ Special Certifications(CPA, Etc.): APMP Foundation Certificate, Practitioner preferred Language Skills: English (CAN-French a plus) Technical Competencies:
+ Advanced knowledge of core Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project) and Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint
+ Skills and Ability:
+ Understanding of internal processes necessary to approve, submit and process opportunities in workflow systems
+ Understands IT operational models, including shared services, outsourcing, right sourcing and brokered services
+ Ability to perform and mentor customer research activities to assist in Vertical and Regional Sales business development
+ Ability to prepare proposals and presentations for standard and complex offerings for multiple lines of business
+ Strong project management skills
+ Demonstrated understanding of the IT Managed Services/Outsourcing industry and competitive trends impacting the client
+ Basic knowledge of IT services Business Development activities, Sales Cycle, typical documentation needs, etc.
+ Clearly communicates verbally and in writing
+ Presents information, instructions and ideas clearly and effectively
+ Ability to create presentations that are organized, informative, concise and appropriate for audience
+ Excellent written and verbal command of common IT Infrastructure terms, acronyms and phrases
+ Ability to interview technical staff, develop data points and successfully message output with the consumer in mind
+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to constantly overachieve
+ Advanced skills with Graphics Design packages or Content Management Tools
+ Comfortable with editing and fixing formatting, tables, charts and recreating documents with a fresh approach
+ Ability to deal with ambiguous environments, apply knowledge in difficult or stressful situations and solve complex organizational/functional problems. Personal Attributes:

+ Knowledge and competence with Ariba and other Bid response Tools
