Job Description One of our largest technology clients is looking to bring on a BI Engineer to join their Advanced Technology Innovation team within the data center domain. This individual will support efforts in establishing scalable business intelligence solutions and contribute to the development and management of analytical data models and reporting systems. The selected individual will play a key role in shaping the foundational data infrastructure by supporting the establishment of the overall data architecture and contributing to the creation and ongoing management of dashboards, visualizations, and data pipelines. They will actively participate in requirements gathering to ensure BI solutions align with business needs, and will be responsible for preparing, modeling, and transforming data for analytical and reporting use. Additionally, they will automate reporting and data processes to enhance efficiency and scalability, and develop dashboards and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making. The role also involves contributing to data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance. This engagement will begin as a 12-month contract and is fully remote. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience in BI engineering or data engineering roles: Strong track record of hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure in complex environments. Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python: Demonstrated mastery in writing efficient, scalable SQL queries and leveraging Python for data processing, automation, and workflow orchestration. Advanced knowledge of pandas and numpy: Deep familiarity with these core Python libraries for effective data manipulation, transformation, and numerical analysis. Strong background in database design, creation, and management: Experience architecting relational and/or NoSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Experience designing and building scalable BI architectures: Proven ability to develop foundational components of modern BI platforms, including data lakes, semantic layers, and real-time reporting systems. Experience with Google Apps Script: Familiarity with scripting automation within the Google Workspace ecosystem.
