CTG is seeking to fill a BI Developer (Application Developer/Microsoft Analytics) opening for our client in Bakersfield, CA. Location: Bakersfield, CA Duration: 12 months Duties: Design, develop, and implement business intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting applications using Microsoft BI tools. Build and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations, including Power BI Report Builder (Paginated), Power BI Embedded services, and SSRS. Write and optimize complex queries using Power Query, DAX, R, and T-SQL. Implement and manage security features to ensure compliance and data protection. Optimize dashboards and reports for usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions. Troubleshoot, support, and maintain BI applications to ensure continuous availability and reliability. Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft BI tools, including Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Embedded, and SSRS. Strong SQL Server programming skills. Expertise in Power Query, DAX, R, and T-SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of BI security features and performance optimization techniques. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience: Proven experience in BI development with Microsoft analytics tools. Hands-on experience designing and developing reports and dashboards with Power BI. Experience implementing BI security features and optimizing performance. Experience in data warehousing and reporting solutions. Nice to Have: Experience with Databricks and cloud skills (AWS preferred). 2+ years of experience developing and deploying generative AI models. Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud-based infrastructure. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and data visualization techniques. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required. Advanced degree (MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field) preferred. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
