Location: Rowan Hospice/Charlotte Hospice/Remote - ideal candidate will be able to float to either location as well as provide virtual services
The Bereavement Counselor provides support to individuals, groups, and families experiencing grief and loss.

Qualifications
+ Education: Graduate Degree, required.
+ Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field with special emphasis in clinical counseling and assessment techniques; required.
+ Experience: Minimum of one year of counseling experience, required.
+ Licensure/Certification: Clinical license LCSW, LMFTA, LPC or LCHMC at time of hire. Full licensure obtained within two years. Required.
+ Additional Skills Required: Possesses demonstrated skills in assessment, group, and individual therapy. Ability to accurately assess for grief-related distress, including but not limited to depression and anxiety. Ability to provide clinical services to a wide range of cultures and levels of employment. Ability to keep accurate and appropriate records. Provide short term, individual, group and family counseling as needed. Ability to perform well in a work environment dependent upon mutual support, a high degree of independence, and a strong team concept. Skilled at presenting to groups and facilitating group interactions. Must be able to manage stress due to highly confidential nature of work.
