Overview Benefits Specialist At Catalyst Brands we are looking for a Benefits Specialist to research, analyze, and develop modifications to benefit programs. You will assist with special studies, preparation of communications materials and training of administrators. Analyze costs and competitive trends in benefits programs, review changes in compensation law, and identifies the organization's positions. Conduct and analyze survey results and actuarial assessments to assist in comparing benefit plans. Prepare data for and surveys and participate in reviews of that data. Develop administrative procedures to monitor and reduce costs and improve delivery of programs. Advise employees and managers on interpretation of plan provisions. Responsibilities Benefits Program Design Support the design and delivery of employee benefit programs; provide financial, market, and legal analysis and insights; draft elements of the technical design; draft internal management reports. Annual Benefits Review Support the delivery of the annual review; provide relevant payroll and market pay analyses; contribute to the drafting of communications and the preparation of management decision-making tools. HR Data Analytics and Insights Deliver analyses of HR data; identify trends and contribute to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance. HR Frameworks and Tools Contribute to the drafting of HR frameworks and tools for recruitment, performance management, development, career and succession planning, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee onboarding and offboarding, and retention of talent, within an area of expertise, ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements. Enable the attraction, development, and retention of talent at a sustainable cost. HR Data Management Specify, develop, and test HR data collection procedures and tools within an area of HR practice to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements. Payroll Administration Deliver accurate and timely processing of payroll; input and maintain payroll data that relates to benefits; check payrolls for accuracy of benefits inputs prior to submission; prepare complex manual payments when required; complete financial reconciliations. Information and Business Advice Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
