Benefits Specialist | $22 - $29/hour, based on experience

As a Benefits Specialist, you will support the administration of employee benefit programs and leave policies. From onboarding support to managing FMLA and disability claims, this role is essential in ensuring employees receive the care, clarity and coverage they deserve. Your support will help employees navigate key life moments with confidence and compassion, contributing directly to retention, satisfaction and well-being across the company.
Responsibilities:
Guide new hires and employees through benefit enrollment and life/work event changes. Assist in planning and executing the annual open enrollment process. Respond to employee questions about medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. Manage FMLA and other leave of absence requests, ensuring compliance with federal and company policies. Support ADA accommodation coordination with HR leadership and managers. File and track short-term/long-term disability claims and COBRA notifications. Collaborate with third-party vendors and insurance providers to resolve issues. Help maintain accurate benefit records for audits and compliance.Requirements:
High school diploma (HR or Business coursework preferred). 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR support. Working knowledge of benefit systems and HRIS (experience with ADP a plus). Strong problem-solving and documentation skills. Collaborative spirit and a drive to support others. Strong understanding of employee benefit programs and leave administration. Experienced & strong knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, and ADA compliance. Excellent communicator with a customer-service mindset. Organized, thorough, and committed to accuracy with ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism & discretion.Benefits & Pay
