About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to support the design, implementation, and administration of our 401(k) and financial wellness programs. This role will play a key part in delivering high-impact benefits solutions that align with our benefits philosophy and support our talent strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the team in performing the day-to-day administrative functions, reporting and compliance tasks of the US 401k plan.Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations governing retirement plans.Maintain records of 401(k) plan mergers and provide retirement plan support to the M&A team and HR onboarding for newly acquired companies and employees.Ensure accurate and timely administration of plan contributions, distributions, loans, and withdrawals according to company policies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Payroll, and HR) and external vendors to manage plan operations and resolve benefit-related issues.Monitor plan performance, prepare reports, and recommend enhancements based on data insights and industry best practices.Provide education and support to participants regarding plan features, enrollment, and ongoing participation.Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal / communication skills (verbal and written), with a high level of attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent experience required.Minimum of 3 years of experience in retirement plan administration, with specific experience in defined contribution plans.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Workday and recordkeeper platformsPublic company experience with 5,000+ employeesIndustry certifications such as Qualified 401(k) administrator (QKA) or Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP)Experience with non-qualified executive retirement plansUnderstanding of plan administration with U.S. territories such as Puerto RicoCandidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
