ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Administer associate benefit programs, including health insurance, wellness programs, voluntary plans, HIPP, Medicaid, Medicare and other associate perks within Workday.Process benefit enrollments, changes, qualifying life events and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements in Workday and vendor databases.Work closely with HR and payroll departments to ensure seamless integration of benefits-related processes with payroll deductions, arrears, recoup and refunds by providing EIB to adjust contributions.Collaborate with external benefit providers and insurance broker to manage benefit plans and resolve associate inquiries or vendor discrepancies.Provide education and guidance to associates on available benefits, helping them make informed decisions based on their needs and preferences.Communicate benefits information to associates through various channels, including call tracking, presentations, emails, and one-on-one consultations.Ensure associates are always kept up-to-date and educated on all available benefits and wellness programs. Assist associates in resolving issues related to benefit claims, coverage, and understanding benefits documentation such as dependent/spousal verification, statement of health or evidence of insurability.Respond to benefits audits, participate in compliance reporting and maintain procedural documentation.Research and resolve associates’ benefit questions by investigating eligibility and dependent coverage; interact with all levels within the organization and with its vendors.Prepare vendor billing for accounting in order to pay invoices in a timely manner. Send vendor enrollment and census data information to support the weekly or monthly invoice.Collaborate with the Benefits Manager to design and implement new benefit initiatives that align with the organization's goals and values.Verify and correct errors files into Workday from vendors.Assist with department projects as assigned.Prepare reports to track various weekly and monthly benefit enrollments by plan tier.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
