**Job Summary**
As the Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with key leaders across the business and outside advisors as needed to provide competitive benefits in order to support the business. This position will be responsible for executing the overall benefits strategy by researching, designing and managing effective, cost efficient benefits for the respective country(s) of oversight. This includes health and welfare, retirement, and/or any country-specific benefit programs for the company. You will be a key member of the Global Total Rewards team delivering a great associate experience. You will liaison and build relationships with the outside advisors, business leaders/associates, the global payroll, legal, finance and the broader Total Rewards and HR team.
**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**
+ Benchmarks, evaluates, and recommends associate benefits, including health, life, and disability insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellbeing programs with the goal of creating an attractive and competitive benefit program.
+ Will represent Global Total Rewards team leading workstreams in special projects as needed but not limited to M&A due diligence, integration, DEI initiatives, etc. Proven project and change management skills are necessary and will be required to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
+ Manages the timely annual renewal process for all benefit plan policies and/or contracts by partnering with outside advisors, legal and VP Total Rewards; coordinates any communication or involvement by other 3rd parties such as Workers Councils or Union Leaders to ensure compliance where necessary; Leads any RFP processes to market our business and when making a provider change, oversees the implementation of new provider.
+ As the subject matter expert, provides guidance for escalated questions or issue resolution for the day to day.
+ Monitors regulatory/government regulations, provides updates or findings reports to VP Total Rewards and oversees.
**Skills and Minimum Experience Required**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
+ Minimum of 6 years of corporate benefits experience on a global or multi country scale.
+ Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA.
+ Expertise in health, retirement, and wellbeing benefits for Canada required. (France, UK, & Ireland a huge plus).
+ Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring appropriate governance and controls.
+ Proven track record leading benefits programs with cross functional teams in Canada & France, as well as UK or Ireland.
**Travel Requirements**
+ Domestic and/or International travel up to 25%
