Benefits and Leave Specialist

Job Overview:

Primoris Services Corporation is currently searching for a Benefits and Leave Specialist. The Benefits and Leave Specialist is responsible for the administration of employee benefits programs and leave of absence policies, including FMLA, short- and long-term disability, and other statutory or company-provided leaves. The role ensures legal compliance, provides outstanding employee service, and supports organizational efficiency in benefits and leave processes.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Serve as subject matter expert for employee leave and ADA accommodations and engage in the interactive process with employees, managers and third-party administrator. Serve as primary point of contact for employee leaves of absences, ensuring timely leave notifications, approvals, and documentation are in compliance with laws and company policies. Resolve employee inquiries regarding eligibility, claims and plan provisions. Coordinate with third party administrator for disability and leave benefits. Maintaining accurate records and provide documentation for internal reporting or audits. Collaborate with HR Business Partners, payroll, and managers to coordinate leave logistics and coverage plans. Assist in the development of communication materials such as FAQs, guides, and training content. Analyze trends and make recommendations to improve benefits and leave programs. Day to Day problem resolution for HR Business Partners, managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general benefit inquiries.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred. 2-5 years’ experience in a benefits or leave administrator role. Experience with multi-state leave administration. Extensive knowledge of leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by FMLA, ADA and applicable laws. Excellent written and computer skills. CEBS, SHRM, or PHR preferred.
