Benefits Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions

We are looking for an experienced, Benefits Analyst to be responsible for benefits operational tasks and management related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, pre-close through integration. In this role, you are providing operational support and execution of the M&A standard playbook, including analyzing existing benefit plans, data analysis, reconciliation and testing, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and laws, alignment with Honeywell’s policies, supporting communications to impacted employees, and facilitating a smooth transition of benefits administration between the impacted entities, primarily focusing on tasks like plan enrollment, education, and issue resolution for newly acquired employees. You will have a significant impact on optimizing HR processes, enhancing employee experience, and driving HR's digital transformation journey, ultimately contributing to the success and effectiveness of Honeywell's overall operations. Manages inputs to payroll including audits & reconciliations, partners with vendors for the operation of the various plans, interacts, and influences diverse internal key stakeholders, develops, and refines operating procedures, drives continuous improvement focusing on the key Honeywell initiatives of an excellent user experience of right & fast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and administer US Honeywell health & insurance programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability, etc.) for our active and executive populations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Educate employees, HR, and supervisors about the processes and applicability of all plans and regulations.Deliver standard M&A playbook support – attend calls and planning meetings, understand business timelines, review company benefit plans and documentation in comparison to Honeywell’s plans and provide recommendations on processes, compliance, data mapping, communications, provide guidance on the lead time benefit plan set-up, vendor set-up, testing, integrations, etc., and support the open enrollment preparation, execution and ensure post-close integration deliverables are executed.Be creative and partner with key stakeholders to solve for any M&A transition benefit administration differences, one-off processes, etc.Provide precise end to end execution of HR services and processes to support strategic objectives.Liaison with our third-party vendors supporting US benefits administration.Play a critical role in the planning and execution of annual enrollment and post-enrollment activities.Partner with Legal and Corporate Compensation & Benefits leaders on executing total well-being initiatives – case and plan reviews, recommendations for communications, plan elimination, ensuring plan and participant data accuracy, etc.Manage cases ensuring timely and accurate responses back to participants, focusing on M&A employees to assist with education and problem-solving.Review file feeds to vendors for errors and promptly address and resolve any issues.Build easy and intuitive processes to enable right and fast delivery of benefit solutions.Research files, escalations, appeals, plan information, etc. leveraging multiple data sources, conducting data analysis and communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.Recommend enhancements and simplification of existing systems, processes and procedures based on trends, feedback, and experience.Assist in the coordination of communication materials, including those required for legal and compliance standards and review.Ensures benefit processes are documented and opportunities for improvement are identified.Leads and/or assists with root cause analysis and developing corrective action strategies.

YOU MUST HAVE:

3 years proficient knowledge in health and welfare benefit administration functions, including vendor interaction points, employee changes and qualifying events, appeals, STD, LTD, FMLA, etc.3 years of project management experience, including excellent planning, time management, decision making and organizational skills. Exposure to difficult or complex projects while managing multiple priorities.3 years M & A experienceExperience working in a shared services delivery role preferred.Experience working with union benefit plans preferred.Excellent analytical, statistical, and reporting skills.Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy.High attention to detail and a process improvement mindset.Strong written and documentation skills, ability to communicate complex issues in a concise manner.Ability to work independently.Advanced problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.Reporting and transaction experience with PeopleSoft HCM/Oracle HCM.Case management experience with SalesForce/ServiceNow.
