Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Benefits Administration & Payroll Manager to oversee and optimize our payroll and benefits processes across Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of local labor laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while delivering exceptional employee benefits programs. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex cross-border operations.

Critical Objectives:

Payroll Management:

Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for employees in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, ensuring compliance with local tax and labor regulations.

Manage relationships with external payroll providers and ensure accurate data transfer and reporting.

Implement and maintain payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.

Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends and discrepancies to enhance the Payroll Accuracy.

Ensure accurate and timely filing of all payroll-related taxes and social security contributions.

Benefits Administration:

Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits, in accordance with local regulations.

Negotiate and manage relationships with benefits providers.

Redesign the benefit admin processes to empower the employee with the self service options.

Conduct regular reviews of benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and effectiveness.

Develop and deliver employee communications regarding benefits programs.

Develop and sustain a solid knowledge base regarding benefits for all employees.

Address and resolve Benefits related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits-related regulations.

Manage vacation, and leave of absence administration.

Compliance and Reporting:

Stay abreast of changes in labor laws and regulations in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, and ensure compliance.

Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.

Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with payroll and benefits policies.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of payroll and benefits professionals across multiple countries.

Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Cross-Border Operations:

Manage the complexities of cross-border payroll and benefits administration.

Coordinate with HR and finance teams in each country to ensure seamless operations.

Address and resolve cross-border payroll and benefits issues.

Qualifications

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese (depending on the countries the person will be interacting with). Fluency in all three is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Experience with union relationships is a plus.

Requirements and Prior Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, with a focus on Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.In-depth knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and benefits practices in each country.Proven experience managing payroll and benefits for a multinational organization.
