We do Teardown of full vehicles, systems and components and document all the parts and findings in Ford platforms. We analyze vehicles, systems and parts to find opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.
Technician Degree, Trade school or High School completed
In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and overall function and components of a vehicle.
Experience in a technician role with service, maintenance or repair of vehicles
Basic to medium English communication understanding (verbal and written)
Excel and Power Point proficiency. Photoshop is a plus.Organized
Proactive
Clear and effective communication skills.

Teardown of vehicles, systems and parts of different vehicles
Support to other departments with the disassembly of components for analysis
Handling of vehicles and parts in and out of the Benchmarking Center
Identification of parts according to the Ford Teardown Standard
Measurement, weighting and material identification of the parts
Take photographs of the parts and systems
Upload the images to Company share drives and systems
Completion of data entry for each of the parts in the company systems
Construction of exploded views of different systems using Adobe Photoshop
Carry out order and cleaning tasks in the work areas to maintain high quality standards
Operation of conventional machine tools for assemblies and mechanical devices to be used in vehicle benchmarking analysis
Development of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, as well as carrying out equipment records
General support for groups that use the facility
Material handling and transferring
Inventory management of stored material and handling of the storage area
Ensure compliance with activities established in the teardown calendar on time and with quality
Identify differences between Ford vehicles systems and their competitors and support engineering with their proposals to reduce of cost and increase functional efficiency
