Job Title: Bench Scientist Location: Andover, MA Type: Contract Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Bench Scientist. Ideal candidates should have a BS/MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields with LC-MS and protein quantitation assay experience. Responsibilities + Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis + Design of experiments in collaboration with colleagues + Conduct analytical experiments and method development as needed + Identify and exploit new scientific concepts + Interpretation and documentation of experimental results + Communication of experimental results to team members + Maintain high quality record in electronic lab notebook Requirements + BS/MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields (NON-PhD) + Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience OR; + Master's Degree with a minimum of 1+ years of experience + Experience with LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LCMS analysis + Experience with the operation of LC-MS instrument and familiar with related operation software (Analyst, Xcalibur or Skyline) + Works well both independently and as part of a team + Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix environment + Strong data organization, analysis, and communication skills + ADC *Nice to Have Benefits System One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, and participation in a 401(k) plan.
