Bell/Valet Attendant - Embassy Suites by Hilton Sacramento Riverfront Promenade

Embassy Suites by Hilton Sacramento Riverfront Promenade is looking for a Bell/Valet Parking Attendant to join the team!

  

Our hotel overlooks the Sacramento River, next to the iconic Tower Bridge. We're within a 10-minute walk of the Old Sacramento Waterfront District and events at the Golden 1 Center. Local art throughout the hotel depicts Sacramento history and life along the river. Our hotel has recently gone through a renovation that is something to see and work in. This is a great entry level position for those looking to break into the hospitality industry. Our property has 242 guest suites with over 9,800 square feet of event space and 11 meeting rooms.

 

Shift Pattern: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, or evening 2:00 to 10:30 pm

 

Hourly Rate: $16.50 plus tips

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

A minimum of six (6) months of guest service experience, preferably in valet and hospitality

A minimum of six (6) months of customer service experience

A clean driving record

Ability to effectively communicate in English

Ability to drive both automatic and manual

 

What will I be doing?

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Greet arriving and departing guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Operate and manage the parking booth area

Maintain accurate records of parking-related charges and fees including, but not limited to parking rates, validations, accrued parking time, vehicles in the hotels care, etc.

Manage flow of traffic, as needed

Retrieve and transport guest luggage

Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with these rooms and their features

Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines

Ensure messages and faxes are regularly delivered throughout the day

Assist with room moves, special luggage deliveries and/or pulls, and attend the main lobby and front door, as needed

Drives property-designated vehicles to and from guest destinations such as guest room or local airport, as needed

Assist in the maintenance, appearance and functionality of equipment

Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
