Behaviour Mentor – Key Stage 4 – Alternative Provision – Birmingham
Are you a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentor with experience supporting young people who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges? A dynamic alternative provision in Birmingham is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support Key Stage 4 students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students to help them develop positive coping strategies, build trust, and re-engage with learning. Many of the students present challenging behaviour, so a calm, consistent, and empathetic approach is essential. You will play a vital role in helping young people regulate their emotions, access education, and build the confidence and skills needed for success beyond the classroom.
Job Role:
Supporting Key Stage 4 students on a 1-1 or small group basisBuilding strong, positive relationships and acting as a role modelHelping students regulate behaviour and manage emotional responsesWorking alongside teaching staff to implement tailored strategiesSupporting social, emotional, and behavioural development both in and out of classIn return, you will enjoy:
