Location: Columbia, MO

Department: Rapid Access Unit

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: Sunday - Tuesday 7am-7:30pm

In this role, you will provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include monitoring health signs, intervening in crises, facilitating group activities, and maintaining a therapeutic environment. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of care and support for individuals in our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.

Monitor vital signs and assess withdrawal symptoms, escalating to medical personnel as needed.

Administer and document medications per policy and procedure, ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Maintain safety protocols and facilitate structured activities and rehabilitative support.

Document client behaviors and interactions accurately in records and during shift changes.

Facilitate the admission/orientation process, including client rights and rules.

Encourage adherence to program expectations in a trauma-informed manner.

Collaborate actively with the treatment team to identify client strengths and needs.

Maintain a safe environment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent, with two (2) years of responsible employment.

Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of confidentiality laws regarding substance use and mental health treatment.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to effectively operate within established procedures and maintain rapport with clients/patients.

Basic keyboarding skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work involving the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift or move objects.

Ability to perform repetitive movements of hands and arms for typing/writing.
