Additional Job Description

Sentara Health is now hiring a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist for the Psychiatric Emergency Response team. This position will be onsite at Sentara RMH Medical Center but will complete assessments for emergency department patients across the entire Sentara system who are having a mental health crisis.

Work schedule : Monday - Friday, day shift

Education

Master’s Degree – Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related field

Certification/Licensure

Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family TherapistWill consider applicants that are in pursuit of licensure

Experience

At least 1 year of crisis experience highly desiredMust have strong communication skills, oral and writtenAbility and willingness to supervise licensed-eligible staff

Duties/Responsibilities

Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient.Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.Evaluates effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$53,248.00-$88,753.60. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
