Behavioral Health Coordinator (1.0 FTE)

**Job Description:**
Plans, implements, and monitors Managed Care Authorization System for the Department of Behavioral Health. This includes insurance and benefit verification, monitoring of utilization, and ascertaining that the clinician completes required documentation. Maintains and updates authorization and referral documentation in the medical record. Reviews denials and recommends changes for claims resubmission. Further duties include being a liaison between departments and hospitals regarding managed care issues. Provides education to providers regarding managed care and contracted insurance requirements to optimize reimbursement.Experience:3 years related work experience with healthcare billing, benefit verification and managed care knowledge.
