Nestled in the heart of Estero Bay, near the Gulf of Mexico, West Bay Club is a member-owned gated community and private golf club encompassing nearly 900 acres - 500 of which are dedicated to conservation. The community boasts 790 residences, including estate homes, high-rise condos, and villas, all set amidst lush tropical landscaping and bordering Estero Bay and Gulf of Mexico. West Bay recently underwent a $50 million renovation of the club amenities and golf course.
Located in the picturesque surroundings of West Bay’s community the Bay House facility includes a resort-style pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, culinary academy, card and meeting rooms, and the Aqua Café offering both indoor and outdoor dining. West Bay’s tennis facility offers center court viewing on all eight Har-Tru courts. Additionally, the Sports Park offers six pickleball courts, two bocce courts, and a dog park. Residents also enjoy kayaking, canoeing, boating, and fishing all from the West Bay River Park's on-premises dock, featuring a private boat launch and boat storage.
A unique feature of the community is West Bay’s private Beach Club, which underwent a complete reconstruction, completed in March 2024. Residents enjoy direct access to their beachfront club along the Gulf of Mexico, complete with a full-service restaurant, valet service, and dedicated beach attendants providing beach service.
Within the community, the West Bay Golf Club is anchored around its 18-hole championship golf course. Designed by esteemed golf course architects Pete and PB Dye, renovated by Fry-Straka, golf enthusiasts seek out West Bay to experience its unique and challenging design. The Golf Club is home to multiple dining venues that range from casual dining including the Niblick Grille and Signature Bar, to fine dining at the Golf House. The club offers a maximum of 300 golf memberships, 150 social memberships, and currently has a wait list. While the club remains open year-round, the peak of member activity is from November through April.
About The Position
The Beach Club Manager reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage and works in partnership with other West Bay directors and employees. The Beach Club Manager will lead the newly constructed Beach Club located on Bonita Beach. This role is responsible for the successful operation of West Bay’s premier facility, ensuring the highest standards of service, facility upkeep, and member satisfaction. In addition to overseeing food and beverage operations, this position includes property management responsibilities, ensuring that all facilities, systems, and physical assets are maintained in proper working condition.
Beach Club Operations & Member Experience
Lead the daily operation of the Beach Club, including restaurant, valet and beach services. Organize and conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate menu changes, events, and service expectations. Circulate throughout the facility to monitor service quality, cleanliness, and member satisfaction. Greet members and guests in the dining room and on the beach to ensure attentive service and resolve issues proactively. Oversee daily service tasks, including serving tables, setting up beach furniture, managing beach food & beverage service, and supervising staff interactions.
Staff Supervision & Development
Recruit, train, and manage a team that includes Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, Food Runners, Valet Staff, Shuttle Drivers, and Beach Attendants. Provide direction, performance feedback, scheduling, and ongoing training to team members. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and maintain a positive, professional work environment. Conduct performance evaluations, handle disciplinary actions, and manage employee concerns.
Property & Facility Management
Ensure all Beach Club facilities and property assets (beachfront, building, grounds, equipment, utilities, etc.) are clean, safe, and maintained to standards. Work closely with facilities and maintenance teams or vendors to schedule necessary maintenance, repairs, or improvements. Manage vendor relationships related to landscaping, housekeeping, pest control, and other maintenance services. Coordinate with other departments on events, logistics, and cross-functional property issues.
Administrative & Financial Oversight
Monitor department budget and ensure operations remain financially sound. Maintain accurate records related to billing, inventory, maintenance logs, and incident reports. Utilize established procedures to ensure accurate member charges and financial reporting. Participate in capital planning and annual budgeting for Beach Club facilities and property enhancements.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of management experience in hospitality within country clubs, resorts, or upscale restaurants, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
ServSafe Food Manager Certified. Enjoys professional networking; stays current on industry trends. Experience with facility maintenance and vendor management.
