QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Special Education or related fieldCurrent and valid BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)Valid Texas Driver's license and safe driving record

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, function analysis and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skillsAbility to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality with minimal directionPossess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop behavior plans and treatment plans for students as well as facilitate appropriate behavior strategiesConduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments using evidence-based toolsMaintain compliance with relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations (e.g., BACB Code of Ethics)Provide ongoing support to direct support professionals, ABA implementers and other individuals in support roles for familiesAssist in the development and implementation of assessment tools to conduct functional assessments and analysis when appropriateCreate/maintain a data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for students; analyze data to implement best practicesProvide appropriate service to each student on the caseloadEstablish open, frequent communication with parents and all related service staffMake recommendations for the time needed to implement behavioral goalsParticipate in appropriate staff meetings as requestedEstablish and maintain a positive working atmosphere with staff in order to encourage a positive learning environment for students Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environmentStrong family engagement and communication skills
