What does a Patient Care Technician do?
The Patient Care Technician assists our nursing staff in providing for our patients’ physical and emotional needs. Some basic skills and tasks will include, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN.
Provide basic nursing responsibilities such as bathing, helping the patient with toileting needs, bed-making, assisting the patient walk/move, feeding, taking vital signs, and entering data into the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR).
Additional training will be provided for additional technical skills such as sterile technique and urinary catheter insertion.

Weeks 7 – 8: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – 7AM – 3:30PM

We are looking for a person who is dedicated to compassionate patient care and wants to work in a hospital setting where they are a part of a dynamic healthcare team. This position requires no previous nursing or healthcare work experience. However, it does require a person who is dedicated to learning patient care and using those skills to make a difference in people’s lives every day.
