The expected annual salary range for this role is $130500.0 - $191400.0 a year.

**What you’ll do:**
**PRIMARY FUNCTION:**
Eaton is seeking an experienced Battery Team Manager for its Power Electronics (PE) and Battery Centers of Excellence (CoE) team in Raleigh, NC.
Eaton’s PE-Battery CoE accelerates the company’s growth by developing power electronics platforms and common hardware building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable. These platforms and blocks, along with standardized design methodologies, can be adopted by multiple business units, providing a foundation for rapidly developing innovative products.
The team manager will be responsible for leading and directing a team of engineers and internal projects, as well as designing and building innovative battery solutions for Eaton’s products. This position requires a technically strong engineer with leadership skills capable of managing a cross-functional team and collaborating with global teams.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
• Leads and directs a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives.
• Monitors and reports on overall performance of the team and projects. Establishes a performance-based culture, motivating the team to set and achieve measurable goals and objectives that align with Battery CoE strategies.
• Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of battery solutions such as battery modules, packs, and BMS
• Develops technical requirements and creates technical reports and presentations.
• Works with the PE-Battery CoE director to attract, coach, and mentor team members, strengthening the technical capability of the team.
• Stays current with the latest battery technologies and business trends, applies knowledge to Eaton’s products, and creates new opportunities.
_* This Hybrid role must work on-site 3 days a week at our Raleigh, NC location. Relocation assistance is available for a qualified non-local candidate._
**Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering .
• Min. 7 years of industry experience in developing battery modules, packs, and BMS and/or development of BMS electronics, FW architecture, battery algorithms, and state machines.
• Min. 2 years of experience in team or project leadership.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Master's or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in modeling, simulation, and analysis using Matlab/Simulink.
• 3 years of hands-on experience with battery controls and FW validation with HIL (e.g., OPAL-RT HIL).
• Extensive hands-on experience with battery testing, including battery modules and packs.
• Experienced in embedded firmware architecture and programming in C/C++.
• Proficient in developing and implementing controls with auto-code generation tools (e.g., Simulink Coder).
• Experienced in project management.
• Knowledgeable in engineering processes (e.g., DFSS).
• Experienced in working with global customers and diverse teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
