Job Description
Join an innovative team as a Battery Technologist, working actively in a laboratory and pilot line setting to produce development-level battery cells. This hands-on role involves collaboration with scientists and engineers to advance battery technology for next-generation electrified vehicles.
ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively in a prototype lab with scientists and engineers to make battery cells from raw materials.Operate state-of-the-art production-level battery cell manufacturing equipment through all stages of cell manufacturing.Ensure inventory is in place to conduct development builds.Conduct quality inspections on parts produced.Collaborate with the quality team to ensure a full suite of quality checks are conducted and feedback is provided to the cell build team.Drive continuous improvement of operations and processes.Support the establishment of procedures and documentation of lessons learned.Essential SkillsExperience in prototype or production technician roles.Automotive experience.Cross-functional team collaboration skills.Ability to operate cell manufacturing equipment.Associates degree in a related field.Knowledge of lithium battery and electric vehicle technology.Understanding of high voltage systems.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to be in a hands-on role and learn new equipment operations.Work Environment
This position requires working on-site 5 days a week in a battery lab and manufacturing environment, engaging with advanced technology and collaborating with a diverse team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.
