Skills/ Requirements

Ability to change batteries in various types of battery powered material handling equipment Ability to maintain equipment batteries by washing, watering, and performing cable and connector repairs Ensure that equipment battery rooms are kept clean and organized and refill propane tanks as needed Ability to operate work related equipment such as hand tools, forklifts, pallet jacks and diagnostic equipment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently - Manual dexterity and overall coordination Must be willing and able to work any shift and in varying temperatures Required to wear personal protective equipment, acid resistant gloves, face shield/safety goggles, and apron. Answer radio calls for battery changes. Use CMMS to complete work orders and book labor hours.

The pay range is $20.00 to $28.36 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement but no less than the local minimum wage. Additional premiums for swing and grave shifts are available. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).
