Stellantis North America Battey Technology Center is seeking a Battery Cell Testing Supervisor to lead a cell testing team responsible for battery cell level performance testing to support our strong Electric Vehicle portfolio. Successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to a world-class battery lab from the launch stage all the way to the full operation.
Initially the role will be focused on training, documentation and launch of the lab; will be required to complete all needed training and follow all lab safety processes and procedures.
The role will be responsible for leading the team to develop work procedures for all standard work associated with cell testing, conforming to existing safety standards, developing test scripts and report templates, leading the commissioning of cell testing equipment of the new battery lab.
After the launch of the lab, the role responsibilities would shift to lead and supervise the team running cell tests, focusing on obtaining the highest quality of data in the most efficient manner possible. Cell Testing Supervisor will ensure the team interfaces with test requestors and test schedulers to determine test suitability and availability of equipment. The role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a formal test reports at the completion of testing as well as any intermediate reports to the test requestors as requested on test status.
Responsibilities:
Lead the team and oversee day to day cell testing Ensure all work procedures and tests comply with lab safety requirements Work with data team on solutions of test data processing, analyzing and visualization Support root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testing Ensure test requestors are kept informed on status of all running tests Ensure reports are delivered in a timely manner and highest possible quality Work with schedulers to maintain highest level of utilization of test equipment Attend Cell and Module engineering meetings, support meeting assignments Support quality initiatives, make sure cell testing team comply with lab quality management requirements Support hiring and training of staff as needed Ensure team’s training requirements are kept up to dateAdditionally during lab commissioning in 2025:

Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum of FIVE (5) years of relevant experience in Engineering and Testing Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience leading a team Knowledge of Lithium-ion battery chemistry, working principle, characterization, and performance Knowledge of Lithium-ion battery components Practical skills of common laboratory tools and instruments Capability of large test data processing, analyzing and visualization Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Legally eligible to work in CanadaPreferred Qualifications:
