About this opportunity:
Approximately 40% of the world’s mobile traffic is carried through an Ericsson Network. The fifth
generation (5G) of Radio Access Networks (RAN) is carrying much of the world mobile traffic now and technology is being gathered for its evolution to the sixth generation (6G). Ericsson is the recognized technology leader in bringing all of it to the market.

The Layer 1 team is investing in both technology and talent to enhance, maintain, and expand our automated testing capabilities. Our test frameworks development team delivers the infrastructure that supports L1 developers worldwide.

What you will do: Collaborating with the user community to define requirements driving new work on the L1 test framework.Implementing, verifying, and maintaining new features in the L1 test frameworkDesigning creative and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency, maintainability, and usability of the toolchainSupporting software developers globally by troubleshooting framework and environment-related issuesAssisting with exploratory and non-commercial projects that require customized testing solutions
 

What you will bring: 

Must have completed a Bachelor’s in electrical or computer engineeringMust have 2+ years of experience of recent working in a similar industry or role.Experience developing software for real-time embedded systems, preferably on multi-core architecturesExperience or of product verification: requirements, testing and troubleshootingExperience with Python; familiarity with C is a plusFoundational knowledge of wireless communication theory (e.g., quadrature modulation, channel coding, multiple access techniques)Familiarity with major wireless standards such as NR, LTE, WCDMA, WiMAX, or WLANDemonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with software configuration and delivery tools like Git, Gerrit, and JenkinsComfortable working in a Linux development environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

 

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

 

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
