The Propulsion System Calibration -- Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for developing physical and virtual methods to create new propulsion system calibrations. The individual will develop strategies for a new propulsion system with both electrified and conventional technologies. The role will leverage industry expertise to achieve efficient, high quality propulsion system calibrations using advanced techniques.
The Calibration SME will develop strategies to optimize the testing sequence and data reduction of complex new control functions simultaneously in both the virtual, dyno, and vehicle environments. This will include cross functional interaction with technicians and support engineers. The SME will lead the global Center of Excellence where common calibration strategies are developed, control solutions are discussed and calibrations are approved for production implementation.
The SME Expert will provide technical assistance for engineers to help solve complex system problems as they relate to propulsion system performance, control theory, energy consumption, emissions, and energy storage.
