Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is the ultimate night out, with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, 19 premier bowling lanes, 4 bars and comfort food.

The Role:

Bartender - Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guests in a friendly, efficient, professional manner. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanorCultivate regular guests and repeat businessSuccessfully complete a pour test prior to every shiftSuggestively sell both beverages and menu items to guests at the barDeliver food items and beverage orders promptlyPrioritize and organize drink ordersConsistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systemsRecord any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar logRecognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a managerEnsure responsible alcohol service per ABC guidelines and Brooklyn Bowl alcohol policiesRequest proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of ageMaintain Brooklyn Bowl safety and sanitation standardsPerform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to Brooklyn Bowl policyPrepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to Brooklyn Bowl policyMaintain bartender bankPerform cash pull / check out proceduresMaintain appropriate Comp and Spill checksKnowledge of Health Code and ABC regulations and understanding of complianceRequired to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue 

Qualifications:

Required:

Valid ABC Card requiredMinimum of 1-year experience as a bartenderWill be lifting 20-50 pounds repeatedlyMust possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skillsMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysAbility to work later hoursStrong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus and classic cocktail preparationStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work closely and efficiently with othersPerforming reaching and stooping motions repeatedlyAccurately measure ingredients for mixing drinksMove throughout the bar and venue areas during the entire shiftWork in an environment with loud music, smoke and crowds for extended periods of timeStand or in a stationary position for entire shiftAbility to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded mannerTolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:

4 years work experience in high volume environmentHigh School diploma or GED preferredExperience in a live music environmentExperience working in a high-volume restaurant, bar or entertainment venue preferredPositive, friendly attitude

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressfulPosition requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
