A RAIC (Restricted Area Identification Card) is required to work at Vancouver International Airport. Processing takes 2–4 weeks. All new hires must provide the necessary documents within this timeframe to obtain their RAIC.

Skills and Other Requirements Minimum year bartending experience required, including certification by province, federal, or local required training program. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages. Must have Serving it Right Certificate. Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements. Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items. Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check. Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
