As a Bartender at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, you will create memorable guest experiences by crafting exceptional beverages and providing warm, intuitive service in line with Waldorf Astoria’s legendary hospitality standards. You will demonstrate a passion for mixology, a deep knowledge of spirits, and a commitment to delivering world-class service in a stunning island setting.
\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n\nPrepare, mix, and serve beverages to guests, upholding brand standards and presentation guidelines.
\n\n\nDeliver personalized, engaging service and build rapport with guests, ensuring their preferences are remembered and exceeded.
\n\n\nMaintain stock levels, ensure proper storage of bar inventory, and monitor product expiry dates and quality.
\n\n\nFollow proper hygiene, health, safety, and sanitation standards in all work areas.
\n\n\nMaintain cleanliness of bar areas, utensils, equipment, and surroundings at all times.
\n\n\nHandle guest complaints or concerns professionally and promptly, escalating when necessary.
\n\n\nProcess guest orders accurately through the POS system, ensuring correct billing and cash handling procedures.
\n\n\nContribute to achieving departmental revenue targets through upselling and promotional initiatives.
\n\n\nSupport the creation and execution of new beverage menus and promotions in collaboration with the Bar Supervisor and F&B leadership.
\n\n\nMaintain a strong knowledge of all menu items, promotions, hotel facilities, and local attractions to assist and engage guests.
\n\n\nWork closely with the F&B team to ensure smooth service flow and communication.
\n\n\nQualifications & Requirements:\n\n\nMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Bartender in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant environment.
\n\n\nStrong knowledge of spirits, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
\n\n\nMixology certification or formal training is an advantage.
\n\n\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
\n\n\nAbility to work in a remote island setting and adapt to an international team culture.
\n\n\nPositive attitude, professional grooming, and a proactive, flexible approach to guest needs.
\n\n\nProficiency in spoken and written English; additional languages are an asset.
\n\n\nWillingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
