Murano, the island of glass, will introduce you to the lifestyle of a true Venetian and allow you to (re)discover Venice and its islands through the eyes of its inhabitants. And… we are looking for a** **Barista joining our team!** **Main Duties:** • To be familiar with all food and beverage items of the menu • To prepare and serve beverages according to the standards required • To set up, stock, clean and maintain the bar and beverage preparation • To prepare the outlet for operation, including mise-en-place, setting and resetting tables, light cleaning and other assigned tasks. • To take food and beverage orders from guests, up selling wherever possible • To follow standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure that the outlet’s beverage cost is in line with budget. • To be flexible wherever possible in meeting special requests from guests for specific beverage preparation methods and ingredients. • To order beverage ingredients based on outlet par stocks and as prescribed by the Outlet Manager. • To utilise the outlet point-of-sales system as prescribed. • To ensure that all sales are properly recorded, following prescribed procedures for ordering, voiding or correcting items. • To complete shift duties as assigned • To follow presentation guidelines as established by the Outlet Manager • To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times • To ensure that all company minimum brand standards are implemented, and that optional brand standards are implemented where appropriate • To treat all operating equipment and supplies carefully to minimise damage and reduce wastage • To assist in resolving the discrepancy in beverage inventory when required **Customer Service** • To ensure the scores of the Consumer Audit and Hyatt Guest Satisfaction survey are achieved. • To deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional, friendly, courteous and professional guest service at all times. • To serve food and beverages to guests, according to the established standards of performance and service sequence established for the outlet. • To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. **What’s in it for YOU?** + A dynamic work environment with a supportive and international team + Opportunity to gain practical & international experience + A collaborative team culture focused on professional development + A positive and inclusive workplace culture + International career opportunities with support for professional growth + Access to training platforms to enhance your skills + Development of a personalized career plan **Qualifications:** • Fluent English and Italian are mandatory • Align all day-to-day functioning of the department and with Hyatt’s Global Privacy Policy • Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required • To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments. • To read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety. • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel. • To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs. • To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required. • Follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security. **Primary Location:** IT-34-Venice **Organization:** Hyatt Centric Murano Venice **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Bars/Restaurants/Outlets **Req ID:** VEN000156 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
