Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the recommendation and sales of Gins and other beverages to guests. Offering and promote the digestives. • To create promotion at the HB • Build a regular guest program. • Look after all Guest at Hidden bar and be able to explain all Gins and Sale them • Carry out Gin education classes by working closely with our preferred supplier. • Train front of house about Gins / Botanicals. Make sure all service associate knows which Gins to recommend • Carry out monthly stock control, inventory. Update continuously all stock forms. • Support Assistant Beverage Manager to maintain and update Gins and all other beverage lists. • Co-ordinate the work of subordinates and maintains the established procedures and policies. • Promote good working atmosphere with emphasis in enhancing relations with subordinates. • Communicate with guests, handle comments and problems whenever required. • Promote sales to meet forecasted revenues. • Converse with guests to maintain a good relationship as well as extending personal touch. • Make requisition for supplies in order to maintain stock level. • Acting as manager making sure teams are well organized. • Be responsible for all Spoilage and Sleepers. • Carry out any other duties as and when required by Assistant Beverage Manager. • Experience in all aspects of food & beverage operations and modern management principles. • Must have experience in food & beverage operations for at least 3-5 years. • Ability to communicate with all levels of associates, supervise and motivate associates. • To maintain and comply with brand and LQA standards • To continuously support direct supervisor assuring service complies with Brand and LQA standards • To assure the knowledge of both brand and LQA standards • Take ownership to represent the brand by applying brands standards at every occasion
QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience: Holding similar position in a well-established hotel for at least 3 years. • Education: WSET, Hotel management school • General Skills: Leadership Skills, Passion for bar operation. • Technical Skills: Be knowledgeable of food & beverage service • Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. • Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 30 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding. • Licenses & Certifications: Level 2 at minimum.
OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: Working closely with the Assistant Beverage Manager to manage the entire Hidden Bar Inventory and Gin Sales and is Responsible for Managing Hidden Bar team.
