Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Review, understand and execute Banquet Event Orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure Banquet spaces are set as per clients’ specifications while paying close attention to details and special requests. · Attend all pre-shift meetings to ensure events are executed seamlessly as per the Banquet Event Order. · Set up/tear down function rooms in accordance with Banquet Event Order requirements, including setting tables, chairs, dancefloor and other stations. · Prepare coffee breaks, service carts, buffet stations and dessert table with appropriate food and beverage items as stated in Banquet Event Order. · Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. · Maintain proper standards of service to ensure a positive dining experience: delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses etc. · Possess a good understanding of our food & beverage offerings and be able to communicate products and services to guests. · Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by management. · Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. · Communicate any areas of need and concerns from guests to management. · Ensure that meeting rooms are re-set for upcoming event, if required. · If no upcoming events, ensure that rooms are set up in a readiness position for any possible site inspections. · Assist colleagues with other work-related tasks, including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, polishing & folding silverware, etc. · Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required **Hourly wage is at $21.58.** Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards. Whether its career opportunities, job enrichment or a supportive work environment; if you are ready for this challenge, then we are ready for you. **Qualifications:** · Minimum 1 year of previous work experience in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel environment is preferred. · Demonstrated understanding of luxury service standards. · Flexibility in availability is essential - must be able to work on weekdays and some weekends. · Position is both administrative and physical in nature and requires regular lifting, bending, reaching, stretching and squatting. · Possession of current FoodSafe Level 1 and Serving It Right Certifications is required. · Professional presentation and written & verbal communication skills. **Visa Requirements:** Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
