Check out this video for more information on our great company! #PGH-BMC Location Description Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview BASIC FUNCTION: The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests during events by setting up, serving, and cleaning up food and beverages. This position works closely with the banquet staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction during functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Set up tables, chairs, linens, and other event-related materials as needed. 2. Greet guests, serve food and beverages efficiently, and ensure that all guests are satisfied with their meals. 3. Ensure the banquet areas are clean and orderly, including clearing empty plates, glasses, and trash promptly during and after the event. 4. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests, assisting with any special requests, and ensuring a positive experience. 5. Monitor guest needs and respond appropriately to requests or concerns in a timely and courteous manner. 6. After the event, assist with cleaning up the space, breaking down tables and chairs, and ensuring the area is restored to its original condition. 7. Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure that food and beverages are served in a safe and sanitary manner. 8. Collaborate with other banquet staff, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure seamless service during events. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the hotel. 1. Maintain open communication with management and other employees. 2. Be well organized and efficient. 3. General side work, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming. 4. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE  High school diploma or equivalent.  One year’s food and beverage experience, preferably within a catering environment.  Wine, Beer, Specialty Drink, and Food experience required.  California Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.  Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance and personal hygiene.  Must be able to speak, read, and understand English to receive training and instructions, interact with guests and other associates.  Must be comfortable with standing and walking for long periods of time on your feet.  Clear and effective communication with guests and team members.  Excellent customer service skills.  Ability to handle several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.  Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.  Must have reliable transportation to and from work.  Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule.  Must be 21 years of age. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.50/Hr. - $16.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
